Welcome, friends! I’m David Lowry, and this website is your gateway to discovering your inner peacemaker. Whether you’re curious about navigating daily disagreements or seeking deeper answers to life’s challenges, you’ve come to the right place. I think it’s only appropriate to write the first post on our website about foundational truths. If the notion of peacemaking as a spiritual path bothers you, feel free to skip this first post in favor of others. But I hope you’ll consider what I have to say here because it’s meaningful to me.
When trouble finds us many of us may think we’re in this by ourselves. This is where our foundational truths come in. Before we dive in, let me assure you: peacemakers are not lone wolves. Within each of us resides a hidden wellspring of strength and wisdom, far beyond our usual ways of thinking and acting. This isn’t about religion or dogma, but about tapping into a Universal wellspring of peace available to all.
Imagine a moment of quiet. You close your eyes, breathe deeply, and let go of the day’s noise. In that stillness, a sense of peace washes over you, and a voice whispers guidance, urging you towards something bigger than yourself. This is your inner peacemaker awakening.
But life often throws us off balance. We react based on old patterns, driven by fear, negativity, and mistrust. These responses, though unintentional, contribute to the world’s pain. Remember the saying, “If nothing changes, nothing changes”?
Four Foundational Truths
Breaking free from that cycle starts as you come to realize these four foundational truths:
1. A Peacemaker is Never Alone
The Universe provides all peacemakers with radiant protection, a constant presence of comfort and support, like a watchful guardian angel. When people truly desire peace, the Universe will come to your aid.
2. The Universe Loves You as a Peacemaker
Peace, unity, and harmony are the natural state of the Universe, and so too can they be yours. Your desire for peace is a gift, connecting you to a divine love that wants you to thrive.
3. The Universe Guides Your Peacemaking Efforts
As a peacemaker, you’ll receive wisdom to see beyond the illusions of the world, revealing the truth of your existence and the higher purpose behind your challenges. This form of discernment like having a cosmic GPS leading you on the right path.
4. The Universe Blesses Its Peacemakers
As Jesus beautifully said, “Blessed are the peacemakers!” This role bridges the gap between heaven and earth, bringing you closer to an eternal source of grace that fills your life with joy and meaning.
These truths may seem bold, but I’ve witnessed their power in my own life, and I believe you can too. What do you have to lose by giving them a try? Simply offer yourself as an instrument of peace through every thought, word, and action.
True peace comes from within, not from external sources.
Take a deep breath now. Find a quiet corner, close your eyes, and ask the Universe to make you an instrument of its peace. You can use your own words or perhaps say this short prayer of St. Francis “Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me show love.” In return, promise the Universe to share this gift with as many people as possible in whatever ways are appropriate.
In future posts, we’ll explore practical tools and insights for navigating conflict. Think of these messages as love letters from the Universe, offering guidance and ideas to cultivate peace within and around you. Remember, true peace comes from within, not just from external sources. Our information is a helpful toolbox, but it’s your connection to the transcendent peace that allows you to share it with the world, one smile, one kind act at a time.
Remember, you are never alone. You are loved, you are guided, and you are blessed. Now, let’s embark on this journey of peacemaking together.

Reflective Questions on Foundational Truths
- Tapping into Inner Wisdom: When was a time you experienced the quiet, calm space described in the text? Did you access any insights or guidance from your “inner teacher”? If not, how might you create space for this quiet reflection in your life?
- Breaking Free from Patterns: Have you identified any personal patterns of reaction rooted in fear or negativity? Can you think of a situation where you broke free from these patterns and chose a different, more empowered response? What allowed you to do this?
- Embracing Your Protector: Do the metaphors of the “radiant protector” and “divine love” resonate with you? If so, how does thinking about these concepts impact your sense of security and support in life’s challenges?
- Living the Four Truths: Can you identify a personal experience where each of the four truths (never alone, loved, guided, blessed) played a role in your journey? How did they manifest or influence your actions or outlook?
- Sharing Inner Peace: What does “sharing peace with the world” mean to you? Can you brainstorm some specific ways you can embody this concept in your daily life, relationships, and interactions with others?
These questions are designed to be personal and introspective, encouraging you to connect with the themes presented in the text and apply them to your own life. Feel free to adjust them to fit your specific experiences and beliefs. Enjoy your journey of reflection and self-discovery!
